The Best of 2008 (Part 1)
After being inspired by Pete’s movie list for the 2008, I have decided to follow suit for the music world. I have a rather sizable list of the best albums of 2008 and will try my best to put 2 new ones up every day or so. I will also be proceeding in alphabetical order as not to give one preference over the other. If anyone feels I have left out a very good album from this last calendar year, feel free to drop some knowledge on me…
Albert Hammond Jr. – Como Te Llama
An excellent sophomore effort from the curly-topped guitar man. It’s full of the same bright sounds and catchy melodies as his first endeavor, Yours To Keep. The man has enormous amount of talent he displays away from his other band, The Strokes.
Must Hear: GFC, Spooky Couch
The Cool Kids – Bake Sale
Yes, I was one of the bandwagoners after hearing Gold and a Pager who waited around forever for their full length release. I love how fun this is to listen to and sing along with no matter how white you are.
Must Hear: Bassment Party, One Two
