Democrats across the country are scrambling for reasons to hate Sarah Palin, McCain’s newly announced running mate, and so far they’ve been hard to come by. She’s the first female Republican vice presidential candidate, a self-described “hockey mom” and most definitely NOT a Washington insider.
I think many on the Democratic side are suffering from a case of envy. The change candidate, Barack, made the textbook choice in Joe Biden as his running mate. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with Biden, it just wasn’t an exciting choice.
I have a shocking suggestion for the jealous Left: Instead of looking for personal or superficial reasons to hate someone, why not stick to the issues? The majority of the country continues to agree more with the Democratic platform. Keep the discussion there and we may have a chance at the respectful campaign promised by both candidates.
P.S. I’m sorry this is counter to my plea for respect above, but it has to be said…MILF.

I can almost agree with Tim. The reasons I dislike Mrs. Palin are not superficial, but very real. Her lack of experience is leaps and bounds beyond that of Mr. Obama. I am deathly afraid of a McCain presidency, but the idea of a comlpetely amateur VP like Mrs. Palin increases my fears. She is a very respectable and down to earth American but she has almost no real experience in poloitics. She is a first term governor who was the mayor of a town of 9,000 before that position. The thought that she could be the second in line to run our country (if something should happen to old Johnny) is very scary. I know McCain wanted to show how much of a maverick he was by going outside of Washington for his VP pick, but going with someone who has no business being the successor to the president is a huge gamble I can only hope the rest of America sees as simple pandering for the female vote. I also know I’m not the only one who feels this way…
