Mayer Hawthorne - A Strange Arrangement I have no idea where Tim found this, but I am sure glad he did.  This album is straight-up throwback and makes no apologies for it.  Unlike some other albums, it isn’t trying to have a “50’s sound”, it is 50’s.  Mayer has a that silky voice you love when singing doowop/soul music.  It’s so deliciously authentic sounding, I’m sure you could convince you’re senile grandparents they heard back in ‘56.
