Political Rant #2
Dear blogosphere,
I can’t help getting upset at Hillary Clinton and her supporters lately. Now they say she should be the Democratic nominee because she can get more electoral college votes based on the primaries. They think that even though Obama has more delegates, states won, and overall votes he won’t be able to carry anything come the general election. I think it is absolutely asinine that they believe Obama won’t carry traditional Democratic states because Hillary won the primaries there. How can they justify their thinking that the majority of the Democratic party won’t unite behind Obama when he wins the nomination (I say majority because I believe some hardcore Hillary supporters refuse to vote for Obama)? I realize it’s the only math they can use right now that has her leading (and it is by a fraction), but I’m interested to see what their excuse will be after May 6th when Obama has all but wrapped up the nomination.
P.S. Why is she trying to steal pledged delegates now like in North Dakota…ethics anybody???
