Dirty Projectors - Stillness In The Move
Last but not least on my top 5 tracks of 2009 is this tasty cut off Bitte Orca. Quite honestly, I didn’t really like Dirty Projectors too much until this album, but they decided to go in a more popish direction and I love it. Their sound is still complex and beautiful, but the songs have a new accessibility about them that makes them so easy to listen to. I do have to give props to Michael J so making me get this album, it’s definite top 10 for the year, but will it make the top 5? If anyone cares enough, they can wait a week and seeeeeeeeee!
