Bloc Party - Signs (Armand Van Helden Remix)
There’s a good possibility this song will not be on any other ‘best of 2009’ list, anywhere. This is a purely personal selection for my list. It lacks a lot of the qualities that put my other choioces in the top 5, but I don’t really care. I have a very deep, unabashed love for Bloc Party and I love their remixed albums too, even though pretty much every critic disagrees strongly. This tune is heavy on electronic/trance elements and thus makes me want to suck on a baby pacifier covered in ecstacy and sling glowsticks around semi-nude for days in a desert. Ok, maybe a little too much information but you get my point, I love this song and really don’t care what you think.
