Animal Collective - Summertime Clothes
This was a very late addition to my “best of” list but it exploded onto my perverbial music scene. “My Girls” may have gotten more attention as the ‘true single’ off Merriweather Post Pavilion, but this tune grabbed me and refused to let go. It’s another 2009 song that makes me dance and flail about like an idiot. I’m a sucker for a good hook and this song delivers one of the best of the year. Please, let this song penetrate your soul like it did mine…it’s hypnotic, it’s inimitable, it’s magic!
