Best Coast - Crazy For You
This band is not original. In fact, nothing about them seems to scream “new and exciting” but something about this album caught me just right. New music these days seems insistent on breaking into uncharted territory but Best Coast are content in their warm, surf-pop world. The songs aren’t flashy or emotionally deep but they still stick with you. They even has boring names like “Boyfriend”, “Happy”, and “Goodbye”. Best Coast don’t seem to care if anyone is interested in their dreamy, stoner-pop sound, and that is what makes this album great. Their indifferent California surfer attitudes take over and they just have fun in . Great summer album, can’t wait to hear more these kids.
